Hey, we're in this together.

Individual Online Therapy for Adults

Your personal needs and goals will direct our sessions, and together, we'll come up with a plan to lead you towards the healing and change you desire.

I'm trained in a variety of techniques such as EMDR Therapy and Mindfulness, but above all, I believe that a solid therapeutic relationship is what makes therapy work.

Therapy for Eating Disorders, Chronic Dieting, & Body Image

Disordered eating is the norm in our culture - especially here in Los Angeles. Even so, if your relationship with food, exercise, or your body is taking up too much of your attention, pulling you away from what you value, or is causing you stress, you deserve help and healing. This is true no matter what you eat, how often you engage in behaviors, or what you weigh. If you're here on my site, you're hurting..and therapy can help. I want you to know that even though you might feel like a failure for needing help, or even like a fraud for just thinking you need it, it couldn't be further from the truth. It takes courage to face what you're going through. Even if you don't believe you deserve care, you do.

Food & Body Image Issues Suck

The joy in life is gone. You can't stop beating yourself up. You know you'd be happier if you could make changes, but it might also feel safer and more comfortable to stay the same. Disordered eating of any kind is self-perpetuating and detrimental to your physical, mental, emotional, and social well-being. My goal is not to make you change if you aren't ready, but to show you how. As someone who has been through an eating disorder, I can offer you a glimpse of what a recovered life looks like. But rest assured that I understand that your path is completely unique.

Build a Loving and Accepting Relationship With Yourself

Therapy can help you rise above your challenges and start moving towards your ideal life with less rigidity and chaos, and more balance and joy. Full recovery is possible. Your treatment plan will address you as a whole and will go beyond just food and body stuff. After all, it's not really about that. Together we will explore your motivation to change (and not to change), work to decrease feelings of shame, guilt, and isolation, replace your self-sabotaging behaviors with self-supporting ones, and more.

Trauma Treatment, PTSD & Difficult Life Experiences

EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. It's a renowned trauma-informed therapy that addresses difficult life experiences and the negative meanings we make about ourselves because of them. Traditional talk therapy works primarily with one part of your brain and may not be enough for some people. This isn't your fault. You're not "crazy." There's a biological reason for what's going on with you, and healing is possible.

Numb, Overwhelmed, Lost?

Emotional distress and other day-to-day symptoms can result from past traumas or difficult life experiences. When you're traumatized or even just overwhelmed, the brain's coping mechanism can become overloaded and parts of it may temporarily shut down. This can leave distressing experiences unprocessed and incorrectly stored in the brain and in the body. EMDR Therapy uses a technique that helps your whole brain "stay online" so it can fully and correctly process and store old experiences. When working with painful experiences, it's important to know that you do not have to share the details with me unless you are comfortable doing so. EMDR Therapy works either way.

Move Past Your Past

Get to the root of your problems and get your life back. Imagine a life where you could finally be free from negative beliefs and years of anxiety and panic. Imagine having the space to create a more meaningful life based on who you are and what you desire. Trauma therapy helps you rise above your challenges and start moving towards your ideal life with less suffering and more fulfillment.

Therapy for The Highly Sensitive Person

Dr. Elaine Aron is a clinical research psychologist credited with the recognition and naming of the Highly Sensitive trait. The actual scientific name for the trait is Sensory Processing Sensitivity and the characteristics fall into 4 main categories: Depth of Processing (you're a super deep thinker and probably even think about thinking), Over-Stimulation (you take in more information from your environment than others, so you’re likely to reach your threshold more quickly), Emotional Intensity & Empathy (yep, you're a super deep feeler too), and Sensory Sensitivity (you may be really bothered by things like loud sirens, scratchy fabrics, strong smells, and certain foods).

Stressed? Moody? Overwhelmed?

Your unique combination of HSP characteristics is part of what makes you YOU. But without understanding these traits, they can leave you feeling frazzled, exhausted, and misunderstood...and maybe even kind of weird. (I get it - I'm an HSP too!) Unfortunately, sensitivity isn't valued in our culture the way it is in others. You've likely been shamed for this trait in the past or have heard, "You're so sensitive" as if it were an insult. You're not alone. Your brain is simply wired to behave in different ways. There’s nothing wrong with you.

Navigate Life With More Ease

Therapy can help you rise above your challenges and start moving towards your ideal life with less overwhelm and more peace. You will learn tools to uncover your strengths and begin embracing your sensitivity as the gift it is. I can see a big difference in my own life since I learned about the HSP trait and started embracing it rather than hiding it or fighting it. What may feel like a liability to you now can truly be transformed into an asset, turning your sensitivity into a true superpower.
